Development Objective 1

To retain and enhance the residential character and amenity of Sub Area 9

Amendments

1. Support residential densification along Lower Park Drive and Dundalk Avenue.

  • Retain existing houses and vegetation as far as possible

2. Contain the Tyrone (Parkview), Greenside and Emmarentia neighbourhood nodes.

 

  • Contain Tyrone (Parkview) node between Ennis and Roscommon; Greenside node contain to the existing developed area and approved rights up to date of approval of Region 4 LIDP; Emmarentia node contain to the existing developed area and approved rights up to date of approval of Region 4 LIDP.
  • No land uses of regional function and extent to be allowed.
  • Retain neighbourhood nodes for local neighbourhood functions: supermarkets, florists, fast food outlets, hairdressers, services, etc.

 

 

Development Objective 2

To enhance the mobility functions of arterials and enhance nodal development within Sub Area 9

  • Barry Hertzog Ave., between Greenhill and Tana Road

  • Emmarentia Drive and Westcliff Drive
  • Lower Park Drive, between Jan Smuts Ave. and Kinross Road
