Hi All. We have come to the end of another year at ERA and our AGM will be held at 19h00 in the Colonial Room at Marks Park on 5 May 2010.

In this month’s article I would like to thank the members of the committee for all their hard work and input to make ERA the success that it is.

Greeting to all the residents of the Green Heart  of Johannesburg. It is another sunny day by the dam and I am trying to figure out if it is winter still or whether spring has decided to come a bit early this year. I have seen magnolias as well as jasmine blooming. Even some leaves on some of the trees at the park are spreading their greenery.

Heritage

For those of you who don’t know, the oldest house in Johannesburg is in Emmarentia. The Gauteng Heritage Association paid a visit to the house at the end of August to view some proposed alterations.
